I don't understand why some people like a movie like "Sharknado."

I can get why a bad movie like The Room might get a cult following. The difference is, I don't think Tommy Wiseau's idea was to create a bad movie. It was just a really bad movie, but that wasn't the intention. With Sharknado I get the sense that it's supposed to be bad. They made it bad on purpose. That's no fun.

I love a good over-the-top satire. For that, see the Japanese Original Tremors. While not specifically billed as a comedy, it has its comic aspects. There are others.

Sharknado and its ilk just had the "we don't give a shit, you'll watch it," all over it.
