Florida man driving a Waste Management truck rear ends another truck towing a trailer which sends the trailer slamming into the car in back of mine and the truck hits me. Nothing quite like having your vehicle wrecked 1400 miles from home! My rear dash cam was an older inferior model and unfortunately malfunctioned during the impact. This is my front dash cam, can skip the 1st minute if you want. The Waste Management truck is seen in the very beginning. Luckily no one was injured, my vehicle was the only one driven from the scene after a tire change.

NSFW, an F-bomb is vigorously dropped after the impact.

Sergeant used police databases as personal dating service to target 150 women: chief
NY Post
A police sergeant in Florida is accused of using law enforcement databases as a personal dating service to target at least 150 women – some of whom he allegedly had sex with while on duty.

An internal investigation into Bradenton Police Sgt. Leonel Marines, 36, was launched in June after a citizen’s complaint was filed by an adult female and her parents, alleging that he followed her home after a “chance, brief encounter” in a parking lot earlier that day, Bradenton Police Chief Melanie Bevan told reporters Thursday.

Well holy fuck, my accident happened entirely different than I had thought. I'm back home now and able to inspect the memory card on my computer, and as it turns out my rear dash cam worked exactly as it was supposed to. It detected the crash, and despite having the power plug dislodged by the impact it saved the file in a different folder so it wouldn't get written over. I had thought, and the F250 driver had claimed, that the Waste Management truck rear-ended the F250. This seemed likely since the F250- ended up in front of the WM truck. But as you can see now it actually happened much differently, and the F250 driver was at fault! BTW, the crunching sound you hear as I braked was the ice inside my fish cooler moving around.

Florida Mayor Arrested Just Weeks After Taking Over for Florida Mayor Who was Arrested

A second mayor has been arrested in Port Richey, Florida, 20 days after taking over for the previous mayor, who had been arrested.

Terrence Rowe, 64, was arrested on charges of obstruction of justice, conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate the commission of a crime. This was the second time in 20 days that a mayor had been arrested in the Florida town, the first being Dale Massad, 68, who is accused of firing at a Pasco sheriff’s SWAT team that was arresting him on allegations that he was practicing medicine without a license.

Florida man steals $33,000 in rare coins, uses them in change machines

A Florida man stole more than $30,000 in rare coins and cashed them in for a fraction of their value at change machines at area grocery stores, investigators said.

Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office investigators said Shane Anthony Mele, 40, stole the rare presidential coins, valued at $1,000 each, and other items worth a total of $350,000, the Palm Beach Post reports.

Investigators said Mele sold some of the coins to a pawn shop for $4,000, then exchanged the majority of them through CoinStar change machines at grocery stores, which would only give face value for them, a fraction of their worth.

CoinStar actually gives less than face value, unless you take the amount in store credit.

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

I bought my property precisely BECAUSE it will be waterfront shortly. There will be an estuary connecting lake ed to the gulf. Lake Ed will then warrant capitols and will be the boat basin for the new entertainment/destination complex.

It's all worked out.

Thats called a "hatchling" and should not be messed with. After all, if mexicans that jump the border are not considered "invasive" then why should a snake that is just sliding along, minding it's own business.

Florida Man Killed by His Cassowary, Huge Species Known as 'World's Most Dangerous Bird'

A Florida man was killed on Friday by what ornithologists say is the "world's most dangerous bird". It was a cassowary - an enormous, flightless bird around which even experienced zookeepers take precautions.

He raised the animal on his farm, along with other exotic birds, authorities said.

Police identified the man as 75-year-old Marvin Hajos.
[…]
A woman who identified herself as Hajos's fiance told the Gainesville Sun "he was doing what he loved".

Hey, great idea, introducing cassowaries into Florida! :)
