There was a lot that was being researched about radioactive isotopes and radiation on organisms. It wasn't just animals, experiments were done on humans as well. The military really wanted to know the effects on humans, the animal experiments were just part of the massive effort to research the damage done to people by bombs, fallout and radiation.

One big thing they wanted to know was how fast was material excreted, and how much was absorbed by simply eating it.

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Women’s boxing was started in England in the 1720s. When this sport gained popularity, some bad reputations, it became fierce and bloody because of the lack of rules governing the sport. Britain’s first body to regulate boxing in Britain in the 1880s refused to acknowledge women fighters. In 1998, eventually, the British Boxing Board issued a license to women. There was no training, rule, and safety equipment, and Women would engage in bloody prize fights and bare-knuckle brawls.
