That dog graph provoked the following thought (or maybe it was just the Krebs Cycle in my brain overreacting temporarily*):

Has it not been claimed that breeds are merely a social construct and have no basis in biology?

I don't know. I've not heard such a claim for dogs. Only people. Of course we use different words, "race" rather than "breed". The breeds though are artificial creations, not the result of natural evolution.

But 2 German shepards mating are not going to produce a poodle or a chihuahua.

The income graph isn't thought provoking enough.

I want to see to top 1%, 0.1%, 0.01%, 0.001% etc on a logarithmic scale. 8)
