Of course wherever the market dictates, the USA is metric too. Likewise science and a few odds and ends such as two liter Coca Cola.

So we get all the positive benefits of going metric.

All we really miss is the condescending pat on the head we'd get from the rest of the world if we enforced metric using police state methods.

I gotta say, I don't care. I can usually think in either. If someone says 3mm, I get that intuitively. But if someone says 304mm it is harder to picture size. It's foot dammit. Just say it.

And stop comparing small distances to the width of a human hair. Or at least specify the race of said human. That can make a big fucking difference.

Suggesting that someone has 'big hair' is no longer PC.

C'mon ed, it's what we do! Bomb them back to stone and then send 'em some McDipshits and Burger Twats.

Agent Orange is a gateway drug for saturated fats. :P

No need. Agent Orange is deadly enough all by itself. And besides, now the frakking cardiologists are telling people that sat fats are OK ... again. Shit you not: One of the things they told me I can eat is bacon. Fucking bacon!

After all these decades of avoiding that kind of shit.

Holy shit. What a fucked up world we've made for ourselves.

No no. The Rubinesque ladies in the photo are simply eating too much carbo you see. The stuff that was supposed to be OK a few years ago? Carbs. Bad, naughty carbs. Don't eat any more of those. Goddamnit! And I really enjoy pasta. And rice. And spuds. And pancakes syrup sponges.

And booze. Nothing but sugar. That's out too.

Oh. And fuck.

Yep, that's the new trend. ("Keto", I think? Fats without carbs.) How can you complain now that the gates of bacon paradise are open to you?

But going without pasta is the devil. And rice. And bread. Do chick peas count as carbs? I love them…

Don't complain about booze either, I'm sure it dissolves all the nasty calcified cholesterol in your plumbing. (And your liver, but hey, sacrifices have to be made.)

As for the "rubinesque" ladies (you are too kind), we should introduce dogs who walk their masters – a fortune to make if the fashion catches.

Said it before:

"Witness. Men want to be him. Women want him, deep within them."

I love pepper cured bacon. But after all the years of potty training about the nastiness of fat, I find it difficult to believe that I'm doing myself a favor by eating all that fat (Keto diet). It's just so fucking wrong compared to what they used to scare us to death with that my tiny Earth mind has a problem with it.

And no. I can't do without pasta. Sorry. If that means my early death, then so be it.

I. MUST. HAVE. PASTA.

Vile flatterer!

But to set the record straight, there has been a lot of pruning in my relationships (and more to come  ).

City Of Fort Worth Getting Heat For ‘In No God We Trust’ Banners Put Up Legally By Atheist Group

Image

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – The City of Fort Worth is receiving complaints after someone put up banners that say, “In No God We Trust” on downtown light posts.

The city said Metroplex Atheists purchased the banners that are currently displayed in several downtown locations.

They are holding an event on July 14, 2019, that fits the criteria necessary to purchase the banners, the city said in a news release Tuesday.

The city explained, “While some residents might not like the messaging on these banners, we do not currently restrict religious messaging, as long as it follows the current policy and procedures for display banners.”
