Agario - Hopelessly addicted

Post by Bruce »

Stayed up til 3am last night playing this:

http://agar.io/

Finally reached #1 on the top 10 list.

And that did nothing to break the addiction.

Here's a good explanation:

Started in May 2015 and rapidly taking off.

Try it on Chrome. Didn't ask to disable ad block on that. Maybe you have a prudish ad blocker.

If you click on the tools button, it gives you the option to select from various regional servers. Pretty cool. The feel of each server is different. The north american server is usually the busiest but also the easiest. Lots of new players who are bumbling around and make easy prey. The asian servers are the next easiest and have the lowest traffic. They players tend to quietly keep to themselves, so if you like building up you mass by eating dots, this is the place for you. The hardest one is the European board. It's very much dog-eat-dog. People will attack immediately and relentlessly. Very few there bother with the little dots. They all cluster around the biggest players, just waiting for them to make a mistake.

Each server also seems to have its own nuances built in. My favorite is the Russian board. There are constant randomly forming small cells that rain down. Sometimes you'll find a sweet spot where these random cells spawn and pool together. The Russians also seem to have their own honor system. You're rarely devoured immediately. No picking on noobs in the Russian board. If you become cornered or trapped, the doomed player tends to launch all of it's mass to the smallest player, as if to say "here you go, comrade, avenge me!".

The Turks tend to stalk you and ride your ass, but that wouldn't surprise ed.

Watching the youtube video does help. At the beginning when you are small, the viruses are your friend.

Love the avatar, ed, but that's a strange looking condom and it appears to be too small. Also looks like you're missing a testicle. :|

It's a "French Dip" condom, the latest from the continent. The give away is the pompom on the top. Very outre you know. The testicles are in conjunction so that it looks like one.

Anything else, bubble-boy? :x
