Sometimes you wish you had a throwaway account, for real life.
I wish I had a primary account. My life is already a throwaway account.

Kids, come down! It's time for dinner!........

........

Kids!!!

.........

KIDS!!!!!!

.......

You should try telling louder. I find that as your volume increases, the rate at which you get what you want also increases. Also, the overall quality of life for each family member also improves.

.....What did you say, old man? Are you being sarcastic?

Absolutely not. I love you more with every decibel.

KIDS!!!!!!

........

We're not kids anymore. We're young adults.

Electronic aids, particularly domestic computers, will help the inner migration, the opting out of reality. Reality is no longer going to be the stuff out there, but the stuff inside your head. It's going to be commercial and nasty at the same time.

Young, inquisitive Bruce: Why do we scan all of our reports as pdfs before sending them to our clients?

Old boss (tired of Bruce's questions): Because it can't be altered. Keeps our clients from changing something and claiming we did it.

Young, inquisitive Bruce: But pdfs absolutely can be altered. In fact, Adobe itself makes a pdf to text converter. There are better digital technologies that has been around for years that are way more secure than pdf.

Old, world-weary Bruce training new recruits: Why scan pdfs? Because fuck our clients and modern technology. Just be grateful that you have a job and you're not making copies of these reports with a quill in the basement of a church. Maintaining the status quo in the corporate world is more important than common sense. If you want innovation, go join a start-up and see how long it can stand up to big pharma before it buys it out, swallows its assets and shits you out on the curb.

I dunno what stigmata sufferers are whining about. A little bit of blood from the hands is not much to write home about.

They should think themselves lucky that Jesus didn't live in a more modern environment, such as the French Revolution when their heads would just fall off, or modern day Texas where they would shake violently from side to side with their hair standing on end while their eyeballs boiled.
