However, I do have a shameful habit of buying the occasional gadget which, at that wonderful moment in time when I have just purchased something I really need at a very good price, seems so wonderful and cheap, such an indispensable item that I simply must have one.
So, I tick the box, add it to my basket and wait for the miraculous, life-changing item to arrive. It's rather like being a child again who, having incessantly nagged his parents for the currently fashionable Xmas toy for months, opens it, decides it's a load of bollocks and makes aeroplanes with the packaging instead.
Here's my latest £5worth.

It's wonderful. A 2" cube that picks up every FM station around and plays MP3s etc from sd cards and whatever, audio input and output sockets, blah blah.
A perfect, lightweight addition to the life of a cyclist and hiker.
Just like all the other ones this sucker has already bought.
