This is a funny one because I have been watching old episodes of the Muppet Show. The only relevant content I have is to remark that in Seasons 1-2 the "audience" shots didn't show quite as large of an auditorium, just a dozen or so Muppets in seating rows. There was a hidden creep factor--the ones in the back didn't move at all. Just blank stares. It is the row for Muppets who have been exorcised.
