Remember 13?

Post by Bruce »

Call from my son as I'm driving home from work.

Dad, what time will you be home?

7 o'clock

Ok bye.

10 seconds later.

Dad, what time will you be home?

Are you ok? I just told you 10 seconds ago. 7 o'clock.

Ok bye.

To be fair, I suppose, his mom toold him to call and ask when I would be home. She didn't say anything about listening to the answer, or remembering it, or repeating it back to her. :|

I try to remember what it was like to be 13, but all I can remember is scrambled images and sounds, mostly from quietly slipping down to the basement and trying catching adult movies on Cinemax, which we didn't have, but scrambled boobs were better than no boobs.

Never would have dreamed that 30 years later, porn would be free and water would cost money.

Yeah, I remember 13. It was 1972.

I stated that the world would have no religion by the year 2000.

Ouch.

There was no porn on TV, no video players and all we had were Playboys where the most you got to see was bush. I never saw a pussy until I was 14.

Yep, and there's no generation I hate more. In fact, it's the only entire generation I hate - I frequently comment that my generation disgusts me.

Oooh! Oooh!

I've hated my contemporaries ever since I was a little kid. :)

Millenials hate boomers for spending all their inheritance on expensive medical treatments to keep themselves alive into their 90s and 100s.

Just wait until GenX starts to die off. It will be the same thing, except they will also inherit unpaid student loan debts, mortgages, and medical bills.

Kansas has started throwing debtors in jail.

"Tres Biggs went to jail for failing to appear in court for unpaid medical bills. He described it as "scary." "

Thought there was a catch.

He went to jail for failing to appear, not for unpaid medical bills. Stoopid is as stoopid does. Still, I feel for the foolz.

I didn't say that Kansas was throwing debtors in jail for being debtors.

They're throwing black people in jail too, but not for being black.

I think.
