Sure....what could go wrong?

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

I sure hope the new stairs will be ADA compliant.

A little spackle, buff it a bit, it'll be fine.

Not as many as "Aw I can do this myself!"

I could just build a similar set of stairs using cinder blocks. What's the diff?

The foundations look weathered too – I think you should rebuild everything from the ground up, just to be safe.

I voted for rock collection. I got two red lava spew cooled and looking very dangerous rocks from some where in Utah. Also a "Devils ear" volcanic bomb probably from an Hawaiian volcano. Also two granite rocks worn smooth by time with inclusions of marble one almost indistinguishable from the the other despite being separated by hundreds of miles.

Yeah and don't get me started about bees.

Uranium ore?

Just thought I'd liven your day up.

Your keen eye impresses me. It's not often that people can spot uranium ore being sold as artificial rocks on Amazon.

You should work for the government. Yeah I know. Cruel. Bit funny though.

Or just cover the existing concrete with 12 or so 2x10x6 pressure treated planks ...
$20 ea at Lowes (2x10x12 cut in half with one 6' plank ripped to fit the riser width) total$120
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Severe-Weather ... r/50188195

bonded with masonry anchor bolts ...
4 per board, $25 ea for 25-pack at Lowes (25-Pack 3-in x 1/2-in) total$50

and one tube of Gorilla construction adhesive

Figure $20 for miscellaneous ...$200 and half a day's work.

Bullnose the leading edge of each step and it'll look nice and outlast you.

What about a ramp? I need to install railings anyway.

No prob! Just cut to size.

Why? It looks less than 30" high. That's the code in my neck of the fescue jungle.

It's 4' wide so I could probably buy 4' wide pressure treated deck stair treads to bolt down to the steps. The wife will love it!
