I had (and still have) a driving phobia too. I didn't get my drivers license until I was 25 because I was afraid of driving. I still don't like to drive unless I am very familiar with the route (i.e back and forth to work, to the store, etc.) and avoid driving any time I can. Chani probably does 90% of the driving in our family. So you aren't alon Pillory.

You must be listening to "Crazy 'Bout an Automobile" by Ry Cooder.

And Tom Waite wrote "Ole 55".

I think you should listen to "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf, then go buy a Harley and hit the road (sober, that is).

The thought of pillory driving is frightening. Didn't he once claim that the government made him take part in a bus driver training program? Was anyone killed?

No, there's at least two earlier threads.

He may have made this claim at JREF. I'm too lazy to search.

Come on now... Stop taunting Pillory by resurrecting his old threads. :)
You can lead them to knowledge, but you can't make them think.
