Copy/paste of the above reveals this:

Ramage, hardly dressed for a court ball herself in her long white nightgown and muskrat's-nightcap with the untied curling ribbons hanging around her face like the fringe on a lampshade, stared at him with mounting concern. That's the bad news. The kid in the trooper uniform screamed. She only smiled her serene, maternal smile. Bedroom. I've seen ones like that.

What purpose is that supposed to serve?

IIRC, The scam works thusly. They make a deposit to your account that they don't have funds for (like a bad check, essentially) you withdraw the money and wire it to them. But their deposit never goes through so it is cancelled. Leaving them with the bank's money and you overdrawn.

The attached gibberish sentence is to get it through certain types of spam blockers.

Oh, and BTW, sometimes these are legit from the point of view that their actually WILL be money in your account. MOney that you are helping to launder, making you an accomplice to whatever crime netted in the first place.
