Do deaths from vaccination outnumber deaths caused by measles?

since 2000, the U.S. has seen 12 recorded measles deaths and 104 deaths reported after the administration of the measles vaccine.

https://ballotpedia.org/Fact_check/Do_d ... by_measles

What the living fuck?
According to the CDC there have been only two verifiable deaths from acute measles infection since 2000.

During this same time period, there have been 104 reported cases of death after vaccination for measles.
Seriously?

More to the picture, than meets the eye
However, the numbers do not tell the whole story.
Well thank God for that. Stupid numbers, they will lie to your face.

Even if those numbers are true (which I doubt), how many would have died of measles if there were no vaccine?

Answer: A fuckload.

I wonder if Jenny McCarthy will realize just how much damage she unleashed upon humanity by endorsing and promoting this stupidity before she meets her own end?
Such potential!

The key word here is "after" which doesn't mean the same thing as "because".

If a kid is killed in a car accident on the way home from the doctor after getting a vaccine, he died after getting a vaccine, but not because of it.

Regarding Suzi, I recall well his ass getting handed to him by Eos, Charlie, and Some Humble MagNIfIcence years back on the subject.

He returned periodically hoping no one remembers.

So now he tries to peddle the same lies again? Hoping we forgot?

No one forgets on the internet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Measles
In 1980, 2.6 million people died of it,[7] and in 1990, 545,000 died; by 2014, global vaccination programs had reduced the number of deaths from measles to 73,000.[9][16] Despite these trends, rates of disease and deaths increased from 2017 to 2019 due to a decrease in immunization.[17][18][19] The risk of death among those infected is about 0.2%,[5] but may be up to 10% in people with malnutrition.[7] Most of those who die from the infection are less than five years old.[12] Measles is not known to occur in other animals.[12]
Life-threatening adverse reactions occur in less than one per million vaccinations (<0.0001%).[52]
So in just raw numbers, not counting the population increase since 1980, the deaths due to measles were reduced by over 97%.

A 0.2% risk of death is low, but that's still 2,000 deaths per million infections. Meanwhile, the risk of getting vaccinated is less than 1 per million. So it's at least 2000 times more risky to not vaccinate.

For some reason the people who don't trust vaccines also think we are destroying the planet from global warming. There is no vaccine to protect you from stupid
