Dr. Feelgood

Do you already know of him?

He was a Jewish Dr. (Max Jacobson) who came up with a brilliant idea, and carried it out. He would inject patients with a powerful mix of amphetamines, (meth), animal hormones, bone marrow extracts, enzymes, human placenta, painkillers, steroids, and multivitamins.

Lo and behold, the patient felt better. Usually right away. When they started feeling bad, they would come back. (sometimes breaking into the office in the middle of the night for some reason)

Or of you were President Kennedy, he would come to the White House to treat you.

Sound unbelievable? It's all 100% true.

I vaguely remember an article to that effect in New York Magazine {mumble mumble} years ago.
It seems to me to be the first time I heard the expression "Doctor Feelgood", which later became a catch phrase.

Linky pooh? :)

Google Max Jacobson. There's a Wikipedia article about him.
