Spinoza took one look at this and said that ed's a fag.

There are different sides to me. The cynic might use the word ... schizophrenic ... but that barely scratches the surface.

Cerially ... a book entitled "The Medieval English House" has a couple of nice quotes, I've posted them I think. An other is this one:
1-Trevelyan.jpg
I think that as I age I am becoming more introspective. Having my fucking brother drop dead accelerated the process. Then another pal from grad school died a week ago. And another on a couple of months before that. This death thing, it's catching.

Anyway, these quotes captured my interpretation of my interest in old things rather well, and more eloquently than I ever could.

Well said, ed. I've had to watch half my immediate family check out. (Actually, a bit more if you count the one who is the drug and booze addled weirdo, but that one isn't technically dead yet...) I remember them daily. And while I wouldn't have missed this mess of shit called life for anything, it's comforting to know it won't go on forever. (Fuck you Gawd!) :)

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.
