Luger? Check.

Scary stamp? Check

Belonged to Hitler or Himmler? Check.

What could be wrong?

Hint. If you are a collector steer clear of
1: Lugers
2: Anything Nazi
3: Anything confederate
4: Jap swords

Current bid $1,055.00

What in your estimation would a "just plain" luger of the same type go for?

The same thing goes on in stamp collecting.

Pristine Nazi era stamps are relatively easy to come by, but an interesting postmark can raise the value considerably.
And postmarks are easier to forge than postage stamps.

Berchtesgaden, Bad Tolz, and above all concentration camps are special favorites.

Condition condition condition
All matching , blue original and only wear to high spots (where a holster hit it), DWM manufacture ~900-1300 maybe 1500 on Good day.

A "shooter", mismatched, blue worn etc ~700 - 1000. 1k is high for a crappy shooter. The (my) rule of thumb is any lugur that is matching with good bluing and $1000 <= is an immediate buy.
