Blessings from the air!

A Roman Catholic church in rural Louisiana hoping to maximize its blessings has come up with a way to do it: filling up a crop-duster plane with holy water and letting the sanctified liquid mist an entire community.

"We can bless more area in a shorter amount of time," Rev. Matthew Barzare of St. Anne Church in Cow Island, La., told NPR.

Following this past Saturday's mass, parishioners from the church in southwestern Louisiana headed to an airstrip about five minutes away from the church.

Churchgoers brought with them 100 gallons of water, which was loaded into the crop duster.

"I blessed it there, and we waited for the pilot to take off," Barzare said, noting that it was the largest amount of water he had ever turned holy.
What are the odds of residual insecticide and beer in that water?

Then it is the only holy water that does more good than regular water.

It kills bugs, and that's a good thing. :)

In the game NetHack (the best game EVAR) there is holy water to bless item and unholy water to curse items. 8)

I don't see any reference to either the plane itself or the pilot being blessed and that might make some to think an unholy pilot in an unholy plane delivered the holy water.

In addition, that image on that NPR page showing those water bottles (?) doesn't lend much support to that claim of 100 gallons. Especially when seeing those smaller plastic bottles.

Unless, of course, there was some other type of liquid sort of assisting the pilot in his holy duties. I mean, the pilot would be on some sort of holy mission, yes?

How about we rewrite the story and get it correct?

Well, that might make somebody very angry. Might be a bad idea. Sorry.

I'm sure the sprayers were holy.

Once they'd been kissed by Gawd. He, like ed, is omnipotent and can therefore handle the toxins previously used in said crop dusting system. :)
