LINK: Care For A Little Religious Debate?

Post by Yahweh »

I've come across a new website with relatively few members, it seems like a place to engage in quality religious debate with a wide variety of individuals from all religious backgrounds.

I know there are some folks who enjoy religious debate, so here is a place to spend some freetime:

www.debatingchristianity.com

Go ahead and give the site a look, join me in the debates if you like (I'm signed up as Yahweh, of course).

I see a few folks have signed up already...

Perhaps this will be the proper motivation to sign up:

Bear in mind, I have not given this hypothetical scenario any thought before this question was posed. Also, I'm only speaking for myself, and not for all people in my position.

I wouldn't go quite as far as saying I'd act in a "completely depraved" manner. But, if I did not believe in a God, I would feel no compunction about doing unethical things. The only thing I'd worry about is if I would get caught doing unethical things.
Scary.

That's definitely one of the things that creep me out, people who only act morally because they are afraid of what would happen to themselves...

Why I always sign when I read a "holier than thou" proclaim they have a better basis for ethical decisions than an atheist when an atheist bases a decision on what he feels is right or wrong and the "holier than thou" bases it on what he feels an invisible sky fairy will do to him.

Yahweh, you're not going to be well-liked there, since the posters you refer are starting to piss off the natives . . . here and here.

Now yall be good, ya hear...

(NuclearTBag is one of my friends, I told him not to be an idiot on the boards because the rules are quite strict. Today I get an Instant Message from him because one of the board administrators sacked his token points for saying "Jesus sucks". Heeheehee...)

The rules are one reason Mightor is there and not Hexxenhammer. Mightor is much nicer.
