We have built an imaging solution that allows us to visualize propagation of light at an effective rate of one trillion frames per second. Direct recording of light at such a frame rate with sufficient brightness is nearly impossible. We use an indirect 'stroboscopic' method that combines millions of repeated measurements by careful scanning in time and viewpoints.
If you remember the poster "Mr. Skinny" at TOP he would have loved this. He was a safety officer at an AFB and had access to some gazillion megawatt laser. Testing was required so we sent a literal sock puppet on a trip around the world with the intention that 'Lil Steve would be destroyed by said gazillion megawatt laser.
Unfortunately 'Lil Steve vanished somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.

"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"
All the texts I've read have the LSB on the left and the MSB on the right. WTF?
You mean bit, right? (Sometimes MSB/LSB stands for byte.)
Little-endian CPUs usually employ "LSB 0" bit numbering, however both bit numbering conventions can be seen in big-endian machines. Some architectures like SPARC and Motorola 68000 use "LSB 0" bit numbering, while S/390, PowerPC and PA-RISC use "MSB 0".
↑ For the bits it's just numbering in a byte (the leftmost being either 0 or 7). For bytes (the "endianness") they can be stored AB or BA.
Give me the title of one of the books and I'll try to have a look.
