But it rained today!!! :)

And I apparently have a part-time cat. :)

How's the part time cat coming along? What's it's condition? If poor, can you tough it, feed it? If so, get it to a vet and see if it has a ID chip implanted. And if not, ask yourself if you want to take care of a cat. Full time. If not, drop it off at a shelter.

But please don't let it continue to live on the fucking street. OK?

:) You have a warm heart, sparks! You will not roast in hell, only be boiled.

I'm well aware of all you wrote, rest assured, but it's really completely different: it's one of my neighbors' cat, not a stray. Young and small, but extremely athletic and curious. And well-fed. And very, very shy.

We are first floor so the risk of the little bugger ending as a moist splat on the ground are slight, or I would have contacted these people. (Actually I told the janitor while we were having some Belgian beers together, so something will get transmitted and they will do as they see fit.)

It's really part-time (or time sharing?), he's free to explore and even rip holes in my dilapidated furniture (within reason), but I won't feed him so he doesn't switch staff.

Lousy pictures, but as I said he's very shy and I keep the room dark.

Oh, and I'm old and dumb, but not poor.

Thanks Witness.

You're neither dumb nor poor. Good. That makes you a better man than I.

I just can't deal with the notion of animals suffering. Humans? Sure, because we can understand the bullshit. But animals do not get it.

BTW, that is a great looking kitty. Name?

"Fahrenheit" sounds awfully German to me.

If it were 100% American it would be "Drivinghood" or something like that. :P
Aw, Abdul! Hundreds of etymologists just spun in their graves. :(

(Er)fahrenheit = experience. Ein erfahrener Kerl = a seasoned dude.

But what astonishes me is how ed clings to his colonizer's legacy. Is that Stockholm syndrome?

This morning it was 25 degrees (-2.6 C) at 5 am

5 hours later it was 50 degrees

I think it had something to do with the big hot ball in the sky, but it needs investigating
