### Is he indicted yet?

Surely impeachment is going to happen any day now.

I am excited.

Which one?

If you mean Bruce Rauner, the answer is no.

Here in Illinois, we've had ever so many governors end up in prison but so far never had a governor dragged in chains from the Illinois Governor's Mansion.

Nothing personal against Rauner you understand, but just on general principle isn't it about time?

Russians: "We have some great shit on Hillary."
Trump Jr.: "I love it!"

Is that not a matter of record yet? And no, it does not 'directly' involve Trump Sr. But it really ought to be investigated thoroughly. Certainly enough allegations floating around out there that Sr. did know about it, and if it can be proven he did, then he's in a world of hurt.
You can lead them to knowledge, but you can't make them think.

It is.

It has been for over 2 years now. Remember FBI wired people up in June of '16.

If they existed it would been leaked by now.

Not necessarily. Remember Tricky Dick?

Yes but I don't see the situations as analogous beyond involvement of the office of the POTUS.

Point is it took a couple of years to pin that bastard down. May take longer with Trump and if you want to cite a starting point of '16, which seems perfectly reasonable to me, then there you go.

The commonality here is impeachment of the PsOTUS because they've been very bad boys.

It took a couple of years for him to lose all political support and realize he can either be dragged out or leave.

Trump still has significant political and public support, I just don't see any chance of that changing and Trump getting removed without a full armory of smoking weapons.

I have to admit that you're right about the public and political support. That shit still amazes me.

Investigations are fine. I just object to using an ongoing investigation, which has not released any evidence of presidential wrongdoing, being used to deligitimize our elections.

Have investigation - fine
Present actual evidence of wrongdoing - fine
Allege that mere presence of the investigation means presidency is not legitimate - no

As a related note: it still seems to me that the dnc collusion with foreign agent Steele seems worse than Don Jr's 'collusion' via "I love it".

Russians: we have dirt on Trump

Hillary: great, here's $15 million we can use that to get a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign and then get a special prosecutor appointed to nullify the election. Another difference that sometimes gets lost in the noise:

With the Trump campaign, it was the Russians that initiated contact, not the Trump camp.

With the Hillary campaign, they initiated contact with the Russians.

I'm not going to get all worked up over liberal allegations of collusion until the liberals apply the same standards to Hillary and the DNC.

And if she'd won, I'd expect an investigation from the Right every bit as thorough (if that's the right word) as is going on now with Trump and his minions.

Agreed. Never a good idea.
