Post Kavanaugh vote thread
No vote yet, and I will not predict, but really needs a new thread.
Meanwhile:
Post-Kavanaugh, Democrats will reap the whirlwind
American Thinker
The linked article is a good example of typical current right wing thought on the subject (of the variety non-foaming).
I am not convinced that it is correct.
Apocalyptic hysteria may well be a winning strategy, and furthermore a Republican victory does not necessarily refute that.

Democrats walk out of hearing room in protest
The Hill
The Hill
Four Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee walked out of the hearing room in protest after Republicans decided along party lines to schedule a “time certain” vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh for 1:30 p.m.
Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) walked out of the room, causing a burst of activity from photographers in the well of the hearing room who captured the moment.

Re: Post Kavanaugh vote thread

The Democrats have made Trump look sane and stable by comparison.
Now they are the temperamental crying children.
So they can own that going into midterms as a strategy.
"You elected Trump despite these character flaws, maybe that was what you were actually attracted by. WE CAN DO IT TWICE AS HARD"
Stuck on retarded.

Hick-duping aside, I think the Democrats really do care in this particular case.
Did the Democrats really think they could get Kavanaugh to withdraw? I know I did.

Re: Post Kavanaugh vote thread
They expected the typical Clinton/Bush level of spine. Instead they got Trump's brass bawls.
Trump doesn't play by rules that don't actually exist. As I've pointed out before, chumps like Paul Ryan play by rules the game itself is not aware of. They are scrubs. Largely, they play by rules the mass media pretends are real.
Paul Ryan is a Scrub: ref: http://www.sirlin.net/ptw-book/introducingthe-scrub
There is no GOP, there is the Trump party. The Trump party is a meta party that drags the GOP along like old baggage.
Kavanaugh's confirmation vote will make the Trump party go vote for the GOP. They like winning. They like spine and courage.
The Dems will lose this vote, their voters will be butthurt and salty. Many of them will simply kneel in the street crying with their vagina hats on (like RCC) versus actually voting.
The Trump party is the win train, the Democrat party is the tears train. Nobody wants to hang out with losers. Not even Anax.

That is probably true, but so what?...
“I have never heard a Supreme Court justice come out and say there is a vast left-wing conspiracy to undermine his nomination,” she said.
It is just a paraphrase from HER TURN back in the day....but then again, slick Willie was only going for POTUS, not SCOTUS...so it's different 'n stuff.....

Senate Panel Approves Kavanaugh, but Flake Wants F.B.I. Investigation Before Final Vote
IOW Stormy's lawyer can go pound sand!WASHINGTON — The Senate Judiciary Committee voted along party lines Friday to advance Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s nomination to the full Senate, but in a dramatic reversal, Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona said he would not support final confirmation until the F.B.I. investigates accusations of sexual assault leveled against Judge Kavanaugh.
...
“We ought to do what we can to make sure we do all due diligence with a nomination this important,” Mr. Flake said when senators returned to the hearing room. “This country is being ripped apart here.”
He said he was seeking an F.B.I. investigation “limited in time and scope to the current allegations that are there.”
...
Just after Mr. Flake’s statement saying he would vote yes, several activists cornered him at an elevator as he was on his way to the committee meeting.
“Look at me when I’m talking to you,” one of them said. “You are telling me that my assault doesn’t matter, that what happened to me doesn’t, and that you’re going to let people who do these things into power. That’s what you’re telling me when you vote for him. Don’t look away from me.”
Mr. Flake stood largely mute, his gaze mainly to the ground, as the women held open the elevator and made their case.

Flake does realize he is from Arizona doesn't he? He's fucking gone.
When Linsey Graham bent the knee, Flake should have taken note.
The resistance is over you fucking moron.

SO 12 years in congress, 6 years in the Senate...I wonder what kind of pension and benefits he gets?Jeff Flake is a U.S. senator and a former six-term congressman from Arizona, known for his conservatism and vocal opposition to President Donald Trump.
...
Jeff Flake, a first-term Republican senator from Arizona, made headlines when he took the Senate floor on October 24, 2017, to announce that he would not be seeking reelection in 2018.
Probably not enough, but hey, maybe his wife is rich....
