One of the Democrat narratives gaining steam in their echosphere is The Makers versus The Takers.
Basically, since so much GDP is generated from city centers which are largely blue, the red state poors are voting against their own self interest and are leech dupes yadda yadda.
Unlike Ayn Rand, their version of the remedy for this is more regulation, high taxes, etc, etc.
Basically, undoing all the things Trump did that made those blue places richer.
Is anyone else slightly amused that the Democrats in the name of command economy are now helming The Makers Versus The Takers as their narrative?

Re: The Makers Versus The Takers
It logically contradicts the Labor Theory of Value (of both Adam Smith and Karl Marx , the disagreement being about the additional value of Capital).
But "leftists" in modern times follow the Magic Cargo Theory of Value.
So they may be wrong, but they are not logically inconsistent.
