Farrakhan a feminist? Does he call himself one or is that just by some kind of transitive property of being loosely linked with a few?

It's human snowflakes overrating their importance in the scheme of the Cosmos. Again.

An extremely long piece in Tablet. I read the first few paragraphs and mostly skimmed the rest.

A couple excerpts.
Then, in October 2015, a large rally was held in Washington, D.C., organized by Louis Farrakhan to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. Three representatives from the Justice League were present: Perez, Mallory, and Sarsour. “Let’s keep it real,” Perez told a reporter who interviewed her at the rally. “The Minister reached out to us and he was extremely intentional about who needed to show up today, so here we are.”
These are the "women of color" that the Women's March brought into leadership so that it wouldn't be just a white-feminist-led thing.
It was around this time that Morganfield says she first heard that Nation of Islam members were acting as security detail and drivers for the co-chairs. “Bob called me secretly and said, ‘Mercy, they have been in bed with the Nation of Islam since day one: They do all of our security,’” Morganfield told Tablet.

Two other sources, with direct knowledge of the time, also claimed that security and the drivers for the co-chairs were members of the Nation of Islam. And this was certainly the case in the women’s previous organization. A May 2015 photograph on Sarsour’s Facebook page shows a group of men wearing suits and bow ties in the signature Nation of Islam style. Her caption above the photo reads: “FOI Brothers, security for the movement,” using the acronym for Fruit of Islam.

It occurs to me that this sort of thing is exactly how the Women's March ended up in bed with Farrakhan.

CALIFORNIA WOMEN’S MARCH CANCELLED OVER FEARS PARTICIPANTS WOULD BE 'OVERWHELMINGLY WHITE’
A planned Women’s March in California has been by canceled the organizers over fears about the lack of diversity from those taking part.

The march in the town of Eureka, in Humboldt County, was due to take place on January 19. In the run-up to the event, the organizers described being “at a crossroads” as they sought to create an event that “represents all members of our community.”
The organizers also don't seem to grasp the demographics of their own community:
According to Census Bureau data from July, Humboldt County is around 74 percent non-Hispanic white, 12 percent Hispanic, 6 percent Native American, 2 percent Asian, and 1 percent black, reports The Washington Times.
All of that adds up to 95% so I'm guessing that the other 5% is people who didn't give their race on the census form. Probably mostly white people too. As far as those who identify as Hispanic or Native American, some of those might be basically white people too.

So really, is it any surprise that a march in a county that's overwhelmingly white would be overwhelmingly white? :notsure:

The whole point of "intersectionality" is that common humanity does not exist.
