It just keeps getting better for Fauxcahontas:

But as Warren undergoes increased scrutiny as a presidential candidate, additional documents could surface to keep the issue alive.

Using an open records request during a general inquiry, for example, The Post obtained Warren’s registration card for the State Bar of Texas, providing a previously undisclosed example of Warren identifying as an “American Indian.”

Warren filled out the card by hand in neat blue ink and signed it. Dated April 1986, it is the first document to surface showing Warren making the claim in her own handwriting. Her office didn’t dispute its authenticity.

Washington Post
Kentucky MAGA teen targets Warren for potential libel suit

The Kentucky MAGA teen who was vilified after a viral faceoff with a Native American activist last month is striking back with a threatened libel suit — with his high-profile lawyer sending “preservation demand letters” to U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren and a long list of media outlets and commentators who disparaged him.

["Snip!"--Ed.]

Warren tweeted on Jan. 19: “Omaha elder and Vietnam War veteran Shown: IronyNathan Phillips endured hateful taunts with dignity and strength, then urged us all to do better.”

["Snip!"--Ed.]

Wood said Warren “must be held accountable for her willingness to use social media to boost her personal career and political ambitions by joining mob who rushed to falsely accuse and vilify a high school student and his classmates.”

["Snip!"--Ed.]

Boston civil rights attorney Harvey Silverglate said there were more effective ways to show Warren “made a fool of herself” than suing for libel.

But Glenn Reynolds, a University of Tennessee law professor and Instapundit.com blogger, said he believe Sandmann has a strong case.

“These kids were not in any sense public figures … A bunch of people piled on a bunch of kids because they didn’t like what they symbolized,” Reynolds said, adding that the more conservative Supreme Court might be ready to roll back some press protections such as the absence of malice standard, at a time when the media is seen as more partisan and less professional.

The stupid just keeps flowing out of her mouth...
Progressive Democrats accused President Trump of engaging in scare tactics for his warning in the State of the Union address about new calls for socialism in the United States.

“I thought it was great. I think he's scared,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) told reporters when asked about Trump’s remarks. “He sees that everything is closing in on him and he knows that he's losing the battle of public opinion.

Because they're going to do it totally different this time, not like all those other times where it resulted in poverty, misery, totalitarianism, and death - often in the tens of millions. They promise they'll do it right this time!

Freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), who has been a staunch critic of the president since taking office, accused Trump of not understanding what socialism is, adding she believes his rhetoric has further divided the country.

“I mean look, for me I think a lot of people don't understand it (socialism). I mean the library and the post office is socialism — so many of the things that we have in our country that we all value is very much based on those values of equality,” she said.
Hmmm, libraries and the post office are socialism.

OMG, we've been a socialist country the whole time and didn't even know it!!! :o :freedom:

In a way it will be different. I have alluded to this before.

"Green New Deal" see? Green.

If the socialist claim is a better world for the working class, the whole mass starvation thing is really bad optics (to use up to date terminology).

But if it's to save The PlanetTM, then it is acceptable collateral damage.

That explains what went wrong in Venezuela. Not enough libraries and post offices.

If she was identifying as "American Indian"* in 1986, that might help explain her jump to the University of Pennsylvania (currently #6) in 1987. I'm not positive, but I don't think the University of Texas was ranked nearly as high then as it is now.

Someone needs to ask Warren if she knows who Victor or Skoden is. Then we will get to the bottom of her ancestry.

Oh, and Shuize, few people will get upset over the term "American Indian" (no one I know, anyway), but if you want the most currently used term it's just "Native".

If it were merely a question of a white lady going around mouthing off about really being an Indian princess, I'd shrug it off. Not nice, but too common and basically harmless to get worked up about it.

What this is about is her whole career is built on a lie.

That the lie is also racially offensive is a characteristically political extra bit of nastiness, but not the main point.

I posted it as a joke. But I have little doubt I could find someone offended by the term "Indian" in the time it takes Warren to put up a teepee.

It's a bait and switch straw-man routine that plays off the Libertarian schtick that implies all public expenditure is some form of oppression.

Most Republicans are not, and certainly Trump is not. Indeed the Libertarian denunciation of Trump is barely distinguishable from what they don't like about Democrats.

Democrat rhetoric tends toward the position that all their enemies are the same.

So all Republicans are not only racist sexist homophobes, they are also simultaneously Christian fundy fanatics and Randroids.

Fun's fun. But back on track.

From the seamier side of the right wing web. No I will not link.
Occasio-Cortez couldn’t even look sincere clapping for a child with brain cancer. She will do our work for us. She could have gone into porn, or provided vagina for a black running back, but instead her destiny is to red pill millions of Whites who weren’t paying attention. God bless you La Raza Chan.

Doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom...
A global revolt against the rich is coming

Image

The economic elites gathered in Davos this week may not yet be shaking in their snow boots, but the more prescient among them see a political storm coming their way — a revolt against the rich across Western democracies.

Just look around at what is happening down the mountain. In France, Emmanuel Macron, stuck with the moniker “president of the rich,” is besieged by a popular revolt over inequality. In Italy last week, the government approved the “citizen’s income” scheme that will give the poorest up to 780 euros (nearly $900) a month. And in the United States, polls show that 59 percent of voters agree with the just-elected 29-year-old Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.)’s proposal for a 70 percent marginal tax rate on the richest.

In Davos, the chief investment officer of Guggenheim Partners said he thinks “the likelihood that a 70 percent tax rate, or something like that, becomes policy is actually very real.” Ray Dalio, one of the wealthiest investors in the world, also sees such ideas gaining serious traction.

Looks like she's rolled out details on her "New Green Deal", and it's of course insane. Some extra-stupid highlights:

- Economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work

- IPCC Report said global emissions must be cut by by 40-60% by 2030. US is 20% of total emissions. We must get to 0 by 2030 and lead the world in a global Green New Deal.

- We invested 40-50% of GDP into our economy during World War 2 and created the greatest middle class the US has seen.

So spend 40-50% of our economy destroying the industrial base of every industrialized country on the planet to build up our middle class?
