This might change the odds a bit:

Ocasio-Cortez Has Met Her Match As Walk Away Founder Teases Challenging Her
By Carmine Sabia
February 6, 2019 at 11:13am

The man who started the #WalkAway movement just announced something that should have New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shaking in terror.

Brandon Straka, a gay man who used to be a Democrat until he noticed how the Party divides and vilifies groups, has been an influential voice in freeing Democrat minorities from their chains.

. . . Straka is young and Internet savvy and is capable of battling Ocasio-Cortez where she lives, in the world of the Internet.

As a middle class minority, a regular person with a regular job like her, Ocasio-Cortez’s main weapons would be neutralized.

And as anyone who has heard Straka speak can tell you, he speaks intelligently and actually knows his facts.
On the other hand, if you read some of the comments to his tweet, not everyone thinks he has a chance of winning.

It's not clear whether he would be running as a Democrat.

Never heard of him, but then I'd never heard of her either until she won.

If he's planning on running as a republican I doubt he can win, but who knows. OTOH, that might be easier than trying to primary her, since the far-left activist vote carries more weight in the primaries.

Just ignore Tucker if you hate him, this is about the Cornell professor who advises AOC. Holy shit, besides lying out his ass (no document was doctored) about basically everything in the idiotic proposal he looks like he's on drugs or tweaking. This is an example of the people advising this bimbo? Holy fuck!

Ha. Ha. The cost of attending Cornell undergrad is advertised at $70,931 per year.

ETA: Even better. That nutty guy, Robert Hockett, is listed as a professor in the Cornell University law school (so, not economics?) where tuition alone is reportedly $63,327 per year.

And, yes, he is lying about the Green New Deal FAQ overview that Ocasio-Cortez has since tried to send down the memory hole. The version saved on NPR's website clearly includes the "unwilling to work" line. It also says "... we aren't sure that we'll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast [10 years], but we think we can ... retrofit every building in America ..."

Maybe but I liked her line of questioning.
They were rookie questions. She wasted her valuable five minutes asking about things that her assistants could have got answers to, as part of her general education as a rookie Member of Congress. She was showboating.

Secondly, and more importantly, that video is only part 1. See part 2 for the spanking she got, that she did not want you to see in part 1.

https://www.dailywire.com/news/43246/wa ... n-saavedra
The video conveniently did not include the follow-up response by IFS Chairman Bradley A. Smith, who was asked by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) to correct the record on a line of misleading questioning by Ocasio-Cortez.

Below is Smith's response to Ocasio-Cortez.
Here's part 2:

Here's the smackdown from end of part 2:
I did kind of chuckle at the question is it possible, asked of us, that these influences are, this money is influencing the questioning here. To that, I'd say that is something you have to ask yourselves, if you are being influenced, then see what you think. If you are then you might question yourselves, if you're not you might question this hearing.
And now you know the rest of the story . . .

I probably should have put this in the shitpost thread, but it seemed more relevant to the conversation here.

I assume everyone here has already seen the various utter nonsenses in that Green New Deal.

Labor unions fear Democrats’ Green New Deal poses job threat (Reuters)
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Labor unions say they are withholding support for a Green New Deal unveiled by Democrats last week to transition the American economy away from fossil fuels, arguing the loosely-defined plan could kill jobs if its architects aren’t careful.

The cool response from unions underscores the challenge facing Democratic presidential hopefuls who support aggressive action on climate change but must also win back the blue-collar voters that swept President Donald Trump to victory in 2016.

Yeah, I've noticed how the left is making great efforts to win back traditional blue collar voters.

I'd say less a question of the pot calling the kettle black, more a question of him parroting the party line (regardless of personal implications).

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez documentary bought for record-breaking amount by Netflix

'Knock Down the House' sold for $10 million (£7.7 million)

Netflix has spent a record-breaking amount purchasing the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez documentary Knock Down the House, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last week.

Deadline reports that the streaming service spent $10 million (£7.7 million) on the documentary, which received the festival's Festival Favourite Award.

The publication notes that the sale marks the most amount of money ever spent on a documentary at a film festival.

Directed by Rachel Lears, the film follows Democratic candidate Ocasio-Cortez, along with three other candidates, who were running against incumbents last year.

I will not bother linking to his stupidity, but a reverend pontificated on how Tom Brady is doomed, because he is married to a witch. WEEI actually got him on. As one of the hosts asked, "do you have any idea how crazy you are?"

AOC may be immature, willfully ignorant, even insane. It does not make this fucktard less of a fucktard.

McConnell is going to bring the Green New Deal to a vote in the Senate.
"I've noted with great interest the Green New Deal, and we're going to be voting on that in the Senate to give everybody an opportunity to go on record," McConnell told reporters.

Meanwhile with the other "stars" of the freshman media party members, Ilhan Omar today wrote a letter to a weightlifting association about not letting men compete against women, and she got her fucking ass roasted.
