Dems backing off the Russia thing? Or just a nostalgic one-off?

Dems backing off the Russia thing? Or just a nostalgic one-off?

Post by Abdul Alhazred » Wed Jan 02, 2019 3:02 pm

Tim Ryan: We are being governed 'from Rush Limbaugh's studio in South Florida'
The Hill

IIRC, Limbaugh was pulling the strings of each Bush in turn.

Also responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing in between the two, because he said bad things about how Bill Clinton's Waco massacre.

Are the Dems backing off the Russia thing?
Is it just a nostalgic one-off by one guy?

Or will they believe both at once as an exercise in doublethink?

It is interesting that diverting from Limbaugh's script often results in embarrassment and a walkback from Republicans attempting it.

I do not know if this is specifically that Limbaugh has that much power, or if the pushback comes from sources that merely have more consistent influence on Limbaugh.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

Limbaugh is a mouthpiece of the party, not its dictator.

In fact he hasn't been such a big deal (or denunciation target) lately as he was in the 1990s. No doubt this is good pub and a ratings booster shot for him.

"You take MARCHING ORDERS from RUSH LIMBAUGH"

It's schoolyard level insults given serious ear by a hysterical and juvenile media.

Remember when Grover Norquist was the guy for like a year?

It would be like Hillary taking marching orders from Rachel Maddow. :lmao:

The more economical explanation -- that Limbaugh takes marching orders from the party, whether explicitly or for love -- literally does not occur to them.

Limbaugh has been saying shut the government down for decades.

He also says the mainstream media is in a toxic echo chamber that parrots each other after getting DNC talking points.

To demonstrate his hypothesis, he played a montage of Press NPCs saying Trump was taking orders from him.

I suppose this is a reasonable hypothesis if one believes Trump is truly and literally mentally retarded. He must be taking orders from someone. If not Putin. who?

That is the difference between ordinary abusive rhetoric and doublethink.

Foreign spies could be manipulating Trump through Fox News :o
Spoiler:
Sean Illing

Have you seen any evidence that something like this is happening?
Aki Peritz

I do not see any direct evidence that this is currently occurring, and that’s why I wrote the piece. I don’t work at Fox News, so I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. I wrote this as a warning to the people who do work at Fox News, people like Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham, and the people that work for them. Whatever they believe or don’t believe, they are targets.

The producers and assistants on these shows have probably never considered the possibility that their emails might be compromised or they might be subject to blackmail by a foreign national, by a foreign intelligence service, but they ought to be careful. That’s all I’m saying.
A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool.

I have no evidences--thanks--that Anax abuses himself to a certain scientific rail gun, so I will write this essay about it.

To be fair, the ones demanding Obama's impeachment tended to be real fringe nutjobs unlike Trump who . . . um . . . fuck you!
