Frankly, I don't think it matters who the Dems run. From what I have seen, there is no big name Dem who is even acceptable to the majority of Dems, much less the majority of the country. That might not be a fatal flaw if there wasn't an incumbent Republican president, but there is.

There has to be some pragmatic Governor who can win by being rational and decent when everyone else is spewing diarrhea out their mouths.

Let me refine that. If Michelle Obama had run against Trump, she would have won. Hillary ran a nasty and frankly lazy campaign.

Someone who can embody positivity can differentiate themselves from Trump much better than angry or faking-angry people who are pandering to SJWs.

Thing is, everything about Trump’s accomplishments (or lack thereof) and personality (or over abundance thereof) and all the rest aside, Trump is now the incumbent. That gives him a tremendous advantage. I don’t see any Democratic candidates who strike me as particularly able to overcome that.

Michelle might have a decent chance if she ran, but I don't think she wants to, and frankly I don't blame her. Let someone else who wants it more have Her their turn. Not her problem anymore.

Our current Governor, Steve Sisolak, might be okay. But he has the charisma of a bowl of oatmeal, so I doubt he would win. I think the only reason he won as governor was that the Republican candidate was so disliked that even his own family campaigned against him

I think campaigns really need to research their opponents better. Find out where they went to school and look at the yearbooks.

Everyone is joking about it and, what with Kavanaugh, destroying every copy of your past yearbooks will become a requirement for politics.

Then, again, I guess Gilespie--whatever--and his team did not expect someone to put something this mind-rottingly obvious in his own fucking yearbook. To paraphrase Francis Urquhart, he "needs to be put down. As a kindness."
