Geeky "art"

Post by Hexxenhammer »

This is the geeky artsy thing I do. I paint metal miniatures for roleplaying and wargames. One of the things I enjoy most about it are "conversions"; the alteration of a model to make it unique. Here's some pictures of some dinosaur-riding cowboys that I converted for fun and for a roleplaying game.

(I already posted these in my Ultimate RPG thread, but that gets pretty limited viewing, and hey, we're all allowed to be an attention whore some of the time.)

For scale, the cowboys are just over an inch tall.

A good friend of mine is into that. He's a big time Warhammer 40K freak. He has about 8 square meters of table space in his basement occupied with terrain and figures.

I like some of the games, but I never got into collecting the figures or painting them.

Dude, that's awsome. I've always thought minatures were cool, although I don't collect or paint them myself. Yours look great! Now all you need are some robot ninjas, and you've got the monopoly on coolness. :D

He must have some cash, 40k is insanely expensive. Games Workshop is like the evil empire of miniatures gaming.
