Breaking Bad (No Spoilers)

Post by Cool Hand »

To anyone following the show, if you haven't seen the latest episode from Sunday, September 15, 2013, go watch it.

Not giving anything away, but it's phenomenal. Watch it.

I'm really anxious to see how the action a the end of the previous episode turns out.

But Breaking Bad has been very inconsistent about when it becomes available on Xbox Video. Some shows are available exactly two days after airtime. Some three, but it is usually consistent for a particular show. But Breaking Bad is available any time between one and 4 days. So I have no idea when I'll get to see it.

Hey, I said to anyone, not no one.

Anyway, I'm not giving any spoilers to no one who watches the show.

Never thought I'd write that sentence and have it be grammatically correct, but I just did.

I don't know how they're going to top that in the last two episodes.

Is it a spoiler to suggest that
Spoiler:
everyone that comes in contact with Walt is fucked

Bought the 1st season on DVD and watched the whole thing in one day. Loved it. I was especially impressed with the accuracy of the chemistry in a TV show, which is unprecidented.
Spoiler:
I totally called what would happen with HF in a fiberglass bathtub! Yes!!
There is only one fundamental flaw in the series that bothers me so far.

Meth-heads: Cloudy crystals? Pah! What the hell is this rubbish!? We only abuse the finest quality drugs. We will accept none other than Heisenburg's crystals. Yes, of course we are willing to pay extra.

Right.

Glad you finally broke bad and started watching. I told you you would appreciate it. Next thing you know, you'll start wearing a Heisenberg hat.

I've cut up to season 5.2 but have not watch it yet. I've planned to watch it later, when the entire season is available all at once, but you (and everyone else on the internets) people are making this very difficult.

Ok, you've earned a Thanks. Happy now?

Now I'm going to have to buy the rest of the series and take a week off work to catch up. Until then, I'm having to shield my eyes from spoilers on the internet. They're everywhere. Stumbled on a few my accident already. :o

The evil guy in XKCD has been wearing that hat for ages. Coincidence?

Yes, because everything I do is to earn your thanks and appreciation. :nutkick:

Seriously though, you really should buy the thing or watch for free on Netflix. If you thought the first season was good, just keeping watching. It gets better and better. Except for one episode lots of viewers complain about, the series really hasn't disappointed. The writing, directing, and acting are consistently top notch. It's great dramatic TV, with some dark humor thrown in.

You haven't even met Gus, Mike, or Saul yet. Ha. You're in for a real treat -- several of them.

Yeah, stay away from water coolers and the internet. I recommend just not speaking to anyone or reading anything until you're caught up. Live in a bubble, lest someone inadvertently spoil something and tell you that Darth Vader is actually Walt's father.

So my wife and I are just starting to watch this thing on Netflix. Watched 2 shows.

Gotta ask.

How long until it gets good?

Based on what I've seen so far the only thing keeping me watching it is how good everyone says it is. So far, meh. And I doubt my wife will continue watching unless it picks up somewhat.

In fact, Space has been playing repeats of Doctor Who on Sundays so I have the PVR recording them and am watching them instead of this.

Episode 4-5 it start getting closer to what the show is. Make it to the second season, which should not be hard since the first season is short.

Maybe you're just a dipshit and the show's not for you. Maybe you can find a nice quiet show about accountancy. I recommend The Crimson Permanent Assurance.

Trouble is, I do love that show. Drive my wife nuts anytime it's on.

But then she did buy me a hat that says "Lion Tamer" (Really, she did. It doesn't light up or anything, but she did get it for me).
