And when does this POS film hit the big screen? The box office will tell all.

End of the week.

And yes, the Box Office numbers are ultimately the numbers that will matter

Phantom of the Menace had good box office numbers. Was all that mattered.

I am not ready to declare this a Phantom Menace disaster until it actually, you know, comes out.

And yes, the Box Office numbers are the ones that matter. Whether the movie is good or not, if it makes a lot of money, they will make more like it. If it flops, they won't. The second word in show business is business after all.

BvS made money technically but was a disaster for the Warner-DC franchise machine.

GB-2016 isn't the lynchpin of a cinematic universe so the taint of a money earning bomb can be laughed at all the way to the bank. Unless Sony was expecting a tentpole out of it.

Yet the plans for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Justice League, et al remain unchanged.

And while GB-16 isn't the cornerstone of a cinematic universe, I bet you anything they are anticipating a Franchise if it goes well. I.e. this movie will act as the first part of a two-part trilogy or some such. Or worse, be like a superhero origin story where not much happens until the end because they are anticipating this just being the 'origin story' for the Franchise.

I haven't looked but I would bet anything that the principle cast has 3 films in the series in their contracts, for instance.

They turned over control of the movies after BvS. We shall see. No announced changes yet.

I hope they forget about AquaMan though.

It was like a trip from Reno to Vegas. Fun at the end, but you had to go through a whole awful lot of boring nothing to get there.

Now 10 times that many people have ranked it on imdb. The numbers are smoother. Same guy/gal divide. 3.6/7.8

It apparently requires a high level of estrogen to enjoy. Even women start to hate it as they age.

I enjoyed Bridesmaids. Paul Feig's main drawing power was making chick flicks that guys could enjoy as well.

If any of the leaks were correct though, it seems like Sony was heavy handed in trying to manage the movie to develop a franchise and cross off certain things they assumed would equal success.

Kevin Smith said he enjoyed it, but then again he went high as a kite.
Boogie (youtuber) gave it the "It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good"

I think I'll show my daughter the original...

I'd normally see anything with Charles Dance in it but this one I might wait for an asian subtitled HDrip like I swear I didn't do with BatmanVSuperman Extreme Ultimate 30 extra minutes of Dana Snyder slomo edition.

Seriously, without being captive to the price of the ticket you paid, it is hard to watch BvS. You just sorta watch it in 30 minute chunks and then stop caring.

TomatoMeter is now fresh instead of rotten with a top critic index of 57% for GhostBusters the Reboot. I trust Richard Roeper more than most "top critcs" and I have a feeling I would approach it the same way.

Good luck this weekend gals!
