I would watch MST3K if only Netflix would make it available in Japan.

I would bet anything the reason that you can't see it in Japan is that there are issues with the movie rights. I know that's one of the most complicated parts of the show.

Just watched The Lobster on Netflix.

If you like the Twilight Zone or Black Mirror, you would probably like this too. Think of it as a movie-length version of one of those.

Eagerly binge watched Season 3 of Travelers. All I have to say is WTF? Either the writers wanted fo guarantee that there wouldn't be a season 4, or they want to reboot the series.

Looks like there are at least a dozen new series with a similar format as Travellers, including one from Turkey called The Protector.
Such potential!

Season 3 was certainly the best. It does look something like a reboot.

We started watching The Frankenstein Chronicles then quickly switched to Dolly Parton movies.

I saw Bodyguard. I give it a lukewarm endorsement.
Spoiler:
The way it ended was all the bad guys basically just confessed to all of their dastardly deeds. The dirty cop on the take, the terrorist who had been saying nothing to interrogaters for weeks. Suddenly they all start singing. Very convenient. Wraps everything up neatly and puts a nice bow on it, but it all just seems too easy. What if they hadn't all so helpfully confessed?

It also made it seem that the government was completely ineffective

Shocking! Clearly not based in reality.

Dr. Gordon: So you are a supporter of 5/9?

Mr. Robot: Supporter? I was no supporter, I was the Architect!

Dr. Gordon: How about telling me why Elliot might be upset with you?

Mr. Robot: I don't got time for this shit lady. All those buildings blowing up. They're going to try to pin this shit on me. It ain't happening!

Dr. Gordon: So the attacks today are a part of the revolution you created, is that what you're saying?

Mr. Robot: We were only supposed to take out one small location. Once all the the paper records were centralized. That was it!

Dr. Gordon: You know, I gotta be honest with you, Mr. Robot, that sounds like delusions of grandeur. How else do you explain what the authorities are saying? They claim to have the man responsible.

Mr. Robot: Wellick? No, No. He was working for me. You and the the rest of the world are never going to know that because you keep happily lapping up the sugar-coated pearls of semen they keep pouring down your throats. You're buying the narrative they've been pushing for months. Pigs! At the trough!

If only Eliot and Mr. Robot could somehow work together for a common goal. Just imagine what they could do together as a team!

Too whiny.

Burn Notice recently hit Hulu, so I have been watching that. I used to watch it occasionally when it first came out, but for a variety of reasons, never was able to watch it consistently. But I like the show, it's kind of like "If MacGyver had no qualms about shooting you in the face". Plus it has Bruce Campbell in it, so there's that.

Watching Band of Brothers on Amazon.

I would recommend. True story.

About the 101st Airborne.

True war story.

D-Day, Market Garden, the Battle of the Bulge.

Richard Winters
Richard Davis "Dick" Winters (January 21, 1918 – January 2, 2011)[1] was an officer of the United States Army and a decorated war veteran. He is best known for commanding Easy Company of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 101st Airborne Division, during World War II. He was eventually promoted to major and put in command of the 2nd Battalion.

As first lieutenant, Winters parachuted into Normandy in the early hours of D-Day, June 6, 1944, and later fought across France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and eventually Germany.

He was going to be court-martialed at one point. If you watch it you'll understand.

That's kind of a shame. Is that story lost forever?

Most of them don't like to talk about it.

My grandmother's second husband (mother's mother) was a marine in the Pacific war.

He never said anything about it either.

The only thing I know was that he fucking hated pineapples. Could not stand them. Someone once brought them a pineapple as a present and he freaked out about it.
