For some really "other" music, Turkish pop:

I'm sure you'll love it!

Four Seasons, arch-classical but Vivaldi never gets old. Here we can compare violinists:

↑ It's interesting that he uses typical Renaissance lute techniques: pinky on the table and fast notes played thumb-index. Here's a slow example:

Musically the main difference I see is that Renaissance music is largely based on vocal music, so there are "voices" to conduct/bring out when you play a piece.

The baroque lute uses a different right hand technique (apart from the pinky which stays on the table) and what a guitarist today would call "open tuning". Good example here at 8:23 (but the whole interview is worth a peek):

Holy cow, had forgotten how fast Spaniards speak (not the case for Mexicans, I've been told). Anyway, she starts playing at 4:17.

Hola senorita!

I wondered halfway through the video if she would ever stop chatting and play, but it was worth the wait. :D

I also don't mind just listening to her cheerfully prattling on in Spanish.

That's because Spanish is a foreign language for Mexicans. Just as English is for Americans.

Shit happens. The older you get, the more often shit happens. So you have to try not to give a shit even when you do. Because, if you give too many shits, you've created your own shit creek and there's no way out other than swimming through the shit. Oh, and fuck.

This isn't music but somehow it belongs here.

Google youtube kept recommending this guy to me. It was really pissing me off a bit: I have never expressed interest in this. I finally gave in, watched, and then understood. Google is smarter than you might think.

Someone should find a way to put this guy into a scented candle.
