I mean the British of course, but then the French came in and messed it up.

Well, the British did a rather good job in Malaya

Still going on about all that shit in Veet-Nam?

That was never a war. It was a police action.

Unfortunately, a lot of decent young men died in that mess. Also a lot of useless cannon fodder, but hey...That's The South for ya! Uncle Dad and Aunt Mom and all that. Barely trainable, even by Marine Corps 'standards'.

FAT BODY!

Mr. Mark Felton seems to use a lot of supposition in his presentation and at point 7:28 --- "and been significantly reinforced" --- I think we have the crowning supposition. Just where were these reinforcements supposed to come from? At that time the decision was made by military leaders to prioritize the Malaya AO and that was the correct decision.

I then decide to do a little digging and I read my comrades in the RBL have bestowed a special something upon Mr. Felton and dig into that wiki thing and it reads impressively and then I see 46 references and become concerned as to just what is going on.

I am a former chaplain at the post and district level in the VFW, comrade community members. I am a former district adjutant. I am a former post quartermaster. I know of what I speak/write when I write that supposition in analyzing military operations is a tactic best viewed with suspicion and if Mr. Felton knows his job he would agree.

And now I depart this AO.

When I was trying to find the URL for that link after I watched that via the OP link I could not find the way to get to YouTube to check further about that video and the person or persons who posted it on YouTube.

Yes, that means I am stupid in that respect. I couldn't figure out what the original link was.

I thought I was being polite by placing a readable URL up there in my previous post.

If anyone would like to teach me how I could have figured out what the original URL was/is for that video when using only the original post, please educate this stupid human --- me --- and I'll thank you.

Code: Select all

A naked URL embeds without any additional fuss.

Also, clicking on the title of the embedded video opens a new tab on its native YouTube page.

Yeah, I either screwed up really bad or my unit here decided to make me look really stupid. (I think some of my units do engage in free will just to get back at me for not giving them enough credit for the hard work they do.)

I went back after I got slapped by that Boss fella and did the usual right click and got the menu and I thought I had done that before and it didn't work, but maybe I just had my head up my arse right about then and wasn't paying proper attention to what I was doing. I think I was also a bit miffed by what I kept getting from that Felton fella in that video. "If" this and "if' that when discussing military operations that have already been completed is not something I like to read or hear unless I know I am reading fiction. It's only non-fiction when the 'if' is left out of the discussion. Let's put it in easier terms --- none of you would want your pilot using "if" in the log book.

And it sure looks like I screwed up in another area, too. I never did leave the AO, did I? But I don't care if the CO or the POTUS himself/herself is taking a slap at me, I'm going to slap back and that Boss fella slapping me across the screen tended to upset me all the more because he is some sort of Team member. But I have experienced that style on sites all over the Net. It even happens on our ISOC Community discussion board. I have a tendency to piss people off and so I have that happen a lot. It's just that I have a really hard time ignoring it. And I really was trying to be polite when I did that and then explained the use of the brackets in that address.
