Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Post by Bruce »

Just watched the official trailer.

I hope it won't suck, but probably will.

Looks like they're trying to Stranger Thingsify it, right down to snatching the ugliest actor from Stranger Things. And Ant Man isn't doing anything after End Game, so why not.

So, apparently all the original Ghostbusters are dead, and the trailer has a sad, serious, somber tone. I don't know. Sure seems like a big jump from the hokey action/comedy feel of the originals.

Seems obvious that the last living Ghostbuster, most likely Dan Acroid, tried to find a safer place to store the containment unit than downtown New York.

I'm betting we'll see cameos of the original Ghostbusters as ghosts.

At best, it will be amusing.

This will be the first movie since Endgame that I might......MIGHT......consider getting off my sorry ass to see in a theater.......unless the next trailer ruins it.
Such potential!

There was only one good Ghostbusters movie. The rest all sucked.

I don't know. There doesn't seem to be any comedy. It just seems to be generic summer movie #817.

Unfunny Ghostbusters is just hokey.

Say what you will about Ghostbusters II or even the recent failed reboot, they at least TRIED to be funny.

Failed, but I could see the attempt. I don’t even see an attempt here. It’s like they said “Let’s do Ghostbusters but with kids this time. And let’s try and make it serious and somber too.”

Ghostbusters is like a Superhero movie. It’s a goofy premise from the start. It shouldn’t take itself too seriously
