Re: Arc Encounter
Doomed.“It’s our opportunity to present accurate, factual biblical information to people about a subject that they’re really interested in,” said Mike Zovath, a senior vice president of Answers in Genesis.
“We think that God would probably have sent healthy juvenile-sized animals that weren’t fully grown yet, so there would be plenty of room,” said Mr. Zovath, a retired Army lieutenant colonel heading the ark project. “We want to show how Noah would have taken care of them, taken care of waste management, taken care of water needs and food needs.”

Is the inside of that thing going to be a ride? :D
Looks like some kind of biblical disneyland.
ETA: didn't the bible say that Noah built the ark all by himself?

I wonder where Noah stored all the anthrax bacteria, smallpox viruses etc? Probably had a cryogenics lab in there or something...

God works in mysterious ways. They didn't have diseases back then. Just talking snakes and large animals that didn't spread their feces around.

Maybe he collected a load of flies to eat all the dung. That would have been eco-friendly.

Re: Arc Encounter
If you think about it, the whole world was submerged in water, so the flies would have had nowhere else to go. Must have been real fun on the ark.ed wrote:No. He could only have 2.asthmatic camel wrote:Maybe he collected a load of flies to eat all the dung. That would have been eco-friendly.

They did not put it in the Bible, but Leprechauns saved most of the people, animals, and even the diseases and parasites during the flood. Why? As their clothing shows, they were all Greens.

I think they're a bunch of sinners if they didn't make it true-to-life sized.
IF..IF we let these SINNERS go about changing things in the BUYBUL, then, my brothers and sisters, what is next? WHAT IS NEXT?

Latest: New Noah's Ark in Ky. aims to prove truth of Bible.
Plenty of comments at the bottom of the page."The ark is really a different approach" than the [creation] museum, Zovath said. "It's really not about creation-evolution, it's about the authority of the Bible starting with the ark account in Genesis."

It's funny because he has a very simian look to him. Of course, he IS a simian, so it shouldn't come as a surprise.grayman wrote:Ken Ham appeared on Anderson Cooper's 360 the other night. I case you missed it:

It used to be updated regularly. But I'm guessing after 3 years it's probably dead.Abdul Alhazred wrote:No more updates ever, right?DrMatt wrote:Noah Zark is one of Argon Zark's uncles.

Oh, well. It was beautiful art while it lasted.
Some of the original spoofs are probably opaque to modern readers.

Re: Arc Encounter
The Creation Museum evolves: Hoping to add a life-size ark project, the museum hits fundraising trouble
Answers in Genesis, a ministry founded in Australia, built the Creation Museum. The group seeks to convince others that the theory of evolution is wrong and that the account of creation told in Genesis is literally true. The result: a place that resembles a slick and entertaining natural history museum, even as it peddles the exact opposite message.
Now, the people behind this museum are looking to erect something much bigger: a 160-acre park with a life-size replica of Noah's Ark built to stand 500 feet long and 80 feet high. They're hoping to tap four teams of Amish builders to construct this giant ark, which would become the largest timber structure in the country...
But the ark plan now finds itself on troubled waters.
The group initially announced that it expected to break ground on the park in 2011, before eventually pushing that date back to 2014. But in June, in an interview in the Creation Museum's "Noah's Cafe," Ark Encounter vice president Michael Zovath told Yahoo News that the group no longer has a date in mind for the construction to begin. It has been unable to raise sufficient amounts of money, despite pleas to the Creation Museum's visitors to donate to the project.

Re: Arc Encounter
Yeah, not as easy as it seems, is it? Four teams of Amish builders (how many on each team?) and it's taking much longer than anticipated even to get started, and yet one guy was supposed to build this thing by himself?
Silly question, but how many humans supposedly rode on the Ark? It was Noah, his wife and his kids, right?
So I guess there must have been a lot of incest after that. The same problem of course for Adam & Eve.

Re: Arc Encounter
According to a lot of Christians, blacks were a result of a curse put by Noah on his son Ham. According to Mormons, Indians were the result of God's curse on the descendants of a figure called Laman. Not sure about Asians, but the trend is pretty clear in Christianity, if you aren't white its because God decided to punish you.Anaxagoras wrote:If Adam & Eve were white people then where did black people and Asians come from?grayman wrote:https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 2332_n.jpg
