Hebrew National frankfurters are 100% beef + no offal.

Note: This cannot be said for kosher franks in general.

If you favor something more goyische, Vienna Beef does the trick if you are in the midwest.

But in general, hot dogs are slaughterhouse floor sweepings.

People in the UK are calling for the monarchy to be abolished with a viral hashtag after the Queen agreed to shut down Parliament
  • #AbolishTheMonarchy began trending on Twitter after Queen Elizabeth II agreed on Wednesday to suspend Parliament.
  • She approved Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s request to shut down Parliament from September 9 to October 14.
  • That will give MPs looking to prevent a no-deal Brexit just days to act before the UK leaves the European Union on October 31.
  • Though the request is considered typical under the UK Constitution, many British people still criticized the decision as undemocratic.
  • The actor Hugh Grant even chimed in, calling Johnson an “over-promoted rubber bath toy” in an angry tweet.

Aow, shocking!

Idiots. The monarch always approves requests like this from the Prime Minister of the day, it would be undemocratic if she did not. There are sound arguments both for and against the monarchy but this isn't one of them.

Historian says Brexit being driven by a ‘crazy nostalgia’ for the past

Max Hastings says those keen to exit EU need to realise that Britain is no longer important

Britain is not an important country any more and Brexit is being driven by an “almost crazy nostalgia” for the past, the historian Max Hastings has said.

Mr Hastings, who specialises in military history, said Brexiteers were leading “a dash for the past” for Britain in the belief that the country was somehow better before.

“They think that they can rebuild the Britain of the past and that will be great for Britain. I don’t share that view at all,” he said.

“Britain is not an important country any more and we are going to find it difficult. I never suffer from nostalgia. I never kidded myself that it was better to live in the second World War or to live in the time of Downton Abbey. ”

Mr Hastings is a former editor of The Daily Telegraph newspaper and was Boris Johnson’s editor when the now British prime minister was its Brussels correspondent. He said his former newspaper, which supports Mr Johnson, and others in the Brexit-backing press have allowed their papers to act “recklessly and irresponsibly” when it comes to the issue of the UK leaving the EU.

If Max "Hitler" Hastings is saying things like this, Johnson's in trouble.

David Cameron: Johnson and Gove behaved 'appallingly'

David Cameron has accused the current prime minister, Boris Johnson, and Michael Gove of behaving "appallingly" during the EU referendum campaign.

Speaking to the Times ahead of the launch of his memoir, the former Tory PM attacked some colleagues who backed Leave for "trashing the government".

Mr Cameron said the result in 2016 had left him "hugely depressed" and he knew "some people will never forgive me".

He also said another referendum cannot be ruled out "because we're stuck".

Mr Cameron criticised Mr Johnson's strategy for dealing with Brexit, including his decision to suspend Parliament ahead of the 31 October deadline and removing the whip from 21 Tory MPs who voted to block a no-deal Brexit.

I'm totally confident that Cameron isn't just courting publicity to boost the sales of his new book.

After completely shirking the limelight for the last three years it's clearly a coincidence that he feels compelled to begin giving interviews just before his book hits the book store shelves.

Artist behind £4.8m gold toilet praises thieves who have taken it

Image

The artist behind the solid gold toilet which was stolen from Winston Churchill's former home has asked the thieves to let him know "how it feels to pee on gold".

The 18-carat toilet, worth around £4.8m, is an art piece called America and was kept at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.

Police have confirmed the toilet has been stolen and are investigating.

“A Muslim online lifestyle platform targeting British teenagers is covertly funded by the Home Office’s counter-extremism programme, the Observer has learned.

Sabah Ismail, a social media manager for SuperSisters from February to August this year, said: “In my naiveity, I thought that through this ‘opportunity’ at SuperSisters, I really could help to make real change, pushing forward a different narrative from Muslim women themselves, showing that we are empowered and multi-faceted … I realise now that with the Home Office funding the project at the root, there was no way I could do this, regardless of the content I was pushing out.””

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/201 ... ome-office

So regardless of the content, the fact that it has government funding means that it is unacceptable?
This kind of segregationist supremacist attitude just seems to show how strategies like this magazine and Prevent are needed by the community.

You guys don't have separation of church and state, and Islam is the de facto official religion of the UK.

The C of E still exists for only for certain ceremonial purposes.

So what's the problem? :MuhammadBoom:

Abdul, while C of E attendance has shrunk dramatically over recent years, it still has around a million regular churchgoers and many more who don't attend church but identify as Christian when asked. Also, the worldwide Anglican communion has around 85 million members so, while the church may be slowly dying, it is not yet dead nor does it exist for purely ceremonial purposes. 26 bishops have guaranteed seats in the House of Lords, for example and the church provides chaplains in hospitals and prisons as well as operating its own, (usually very good), schools and engaging in numerous charitable endeavours and community projects.

As you know, I'm no churchgoer but fair's fair.

If you were to blaspheme against the C of E on Twitter would the cops come looking for you?

What about Islam?

Just trying to set the record straight, ed. The UK population is currently around 66 million, so 1 million churchgoers isn't a high percentage, true. On the other hand, there are only around 2.5 million muslims in the country, so to describe Islam as our "de facto religion" is unrealistic. Don't forget that the C of E is not the only Christian church in Britain, there are numerous others; Catholics, Methodists, Baptists etc.

But which religion gets to call the cops when you blaspheme?

That is the real test of an official religion.
