Aren't we straying from the fag-o-cycle?

Indeed we are. Fortunately, I have one of these arriving tomorrow. :)

Seat post, I'm guessing. With a shock absorber or spring or something.

I have a bicycle with a basket on the front. Back in the days before supermarkets they were known as shopping bikes; enough room for a loaf and the day's fresh groceries. They're quite fashionable now and I've seen people carrying pet dogs in the baskets.

Mine's one of these. :)

They are called "mama chari" in Japan. The dictionary says "chari" comes from the slang "charinko" for bicycle, i.e. a "mama's bike."

Actually, though, these days the riders seem to be of the "Baba" (old woman) variety with the younger "mamas" tending to ride the double-child seat electric motor assist bicycles.

Just thought you should know.

I bought it for my wife, who'd expressed an interest in a similar model. I think she's ridden it once. I can get away with riding it around these parts without being ridiculed because it's in Manchester City's colours. :)

This model's a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing. With an alloy frame and eighteen gears, it's pretty quick. :)

Its "pretty quick" like your air "guns" are pretty powerful and that vibrating butt plug is a seat extender.

Naff off, ed. You'd need a bike with a fucking tractor seat, you fat cunt. ;)

It took some nifty bidding on eBay to get these. Nerd-tastic! :D

Ya know, model trains is an area that scares the shit out of me because it is a rabbit hole for the terminally acquisitive (like me). I like the idea of cool layouts with lots of detail. It would be a disaster so I stay way away.

What is that upper loco? Looks cool. <I feel myself slipping>

It's an N gauge Mallard by Hornby, which I really wanted. Cost me £50 second-hand; they're silly prices new.

You're wise to stay away, railway modeling can get very expensive very quickly.

Abdul, I'm just old enough to remember the steam trains before British Rail replaced them with diesel and electric locos in the late 1960s, so my plan is to build a layout to reflect that era. :)

Mainline steam hung on longer in the UK.

Here in the USA there are a few old steam locomotives in service here and there, mostly for tourists.

The narrow gauge steam railroad between Chama NM and Antonito CO (which I have ridden) does a brisk tourist trade in the season, but is also a working freight railroad for the logging industry.

The Strasburg Railroad (PA) is the last standard gauge heavy rail steam in the USA. Never rode it, though I did see a train go past while driving through Pennsylvania.

We have quite a few heritage railways operating around Britland, perhaps most notably in my beloved Wales, where the narrow gauge steam railways stayed in operation. Definitely the easiest, (and safest), way to climb Mount Snowdon. :)

You could combine the two:

Why not put the rider in the middle and transfer motive power to both rear wheels via a differential?
You can lead them to knowledge, but you can't make them think.

You're overthinking it, sparks. You have this:
