I remember the tune, but I never knew it was a dance.

A dance song should have lyrics telling how to do it.

What nonsense. Popcorn was a shit piece of music and the 'dance' was totally unnecessary. But, what the hell. Humans do lots of shit that is totally unnecessary. Makes 'em think their special.

IIRC "Popcorn" was used as background music for many a commercial.

What I thought was particularly redolent of the past in the Popcorn video (besides the black-and-white) and I don't think any director would want (or dare) do it like that nowadays, is the repeated rapid cutting between a wide shot of the dancers and boob close ups.

Nevertheless, next time I hear someone say "let's dance", I will do the Freddy.

Oooh!
I can't just come up with a good one line crusher with both "redolent" and "modulo" so I'll have to lay it on you later. To make up for the delay, I'll try to work in something nice about the metric system.

These "musical" morsels from the past are really terrible. (I suppose it's the same for the present.)

I don't have any specific memory of that one, but it's still very familiar.
Perfectly captures the period.

This chick I have been trying to find out about her for a while without much luck. She appeared in the Opera House in Arcadia which is an interesting place in itself.

Not my hero, but my parents had a few Reichians among their acquaintances.
One of them was also a Velikovskian. Really.

Interesting. But the article did specify they had to be 'recharged'.
