Nice house but the yard could use a little landscaping work.

Out of all of Bruce's homes, I like this one the best. Only improvement would be an ocean view.

Agree. The point that people miss is that you don't keep money in a vault a la Scrooge mcDuck, vizAbdul Alhazred wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 2:54 pmHe won't.Anaxagoras wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 10:53 am I don't want to eat him, I just think he can afford to pay higher taxes.
Not even if the "Green New Deal" goes through.
People like that never pay the nominal marginal rate, and didn't back in the 1950s when we had even higher nominal marginal rates than the our current crop of "socialists" are asking for.
In those days, even middle class types did tax shelters to some extent.
But in general, why assume what rich people do with all that money is more evil than what the government would do with it?

And that if you care about "the people" then the most efficient way to get money into peoples hands is by letting people in all brackets keep more.
Money gets spent, if it gets invested it goes to companies who use it to grow diversify and expand into new markets. If it is in cash then it gets fucking spent. Wine women song. So? Local shopkeepers, local hookers and the arts is the way I see it.
Does anyone here really think that the idiots in washington woiuld spend it in a more worthwhile manner?
Here, lets see what the drunken sailors did in 2015 with $1,000,000,000,000+

That look good to you? Fine, give them more. I would prefer to support my local businesses.

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Brazil could make so much money on licensing the rights for dystopian sci-fi films.

Interesting, what made you think that?
Here's a better view:

Italian baroque. The octagonal plan goes back to the Romans (and had later some Christian symbolic meaning – pulled out of theologians' asses).
Totila razing the walls of Florence but leaving the (octagonal) baptistery intact:

Enjoyed many a Frooney's Green Eyewash there with Stanley. Couldn't stand the Frobisher and Gleason Raspberry Flavored Ice Lollies myself.

It's nice, but Bruce needs something more roomy for a lake house. This, perhaps?
