Yeah, that financial crisis thing is a bit dated.

It ended up costing little or nothing (or maybe even a small profit) because most of the bailouts were paid back and with interest too.

The worst case estimate, would have to have been an Armageddon scenario. That's like nobody paid any of it back.

Let's focus on the chickens.

Here are three different breeds of chicken, raised on the exact same diet:

The left-hand chicken is a breed from 1957. The middle chicken is a breed from 1978. The right-hand one is a breed from 2005. They were all raised in the same manner for this paper and were photographed at the same age.

Same diet, 4 times heavier? Do they mean the same amount of food or only the same type of food?

Anyway, never mind all that, let's consider the chickens of the future. :D
In another 50 years, chickens will be the same size as a velociraptor (the real one, not the Jurassic Park ones: about 15 kg). In 100 years, maybe the size of an ostrich, and in 250 years, a T-Rex! :o

Nonsense. We've just been increasingly kind to chickens, giving them free ranges and such. :twisted:

Surprisingly, "the other white meat" campaign had no effect on the pork eating.

I'm very surprised be the steady decline in beef eating. Come on, people. It's what's for dinner. :(

I am still hearing from a lot of places that mathematics and critical thinking are un-lady-like, and a lot of potentially very smart women buy into it, especially claiming that women are naturally more gregarious than men and computer science demands work-alone maverick Asperger's cases. It's difficult to convey just how horribly wrongheaded this is.
