Being a 32 round capacity is it an assault magazine or something and a felony to own in some states. Do you see why one cannot take the idiots that write legislation like that seriously?

It is a german gun fer chrissakes, not a snowflake special from california

Actually, I somehow doubt that you would get to the point where the barrel would get that hot. You'd get increased wear and erosion and like that.

A rig like the one I posted is probably worth ~$5k maybe. I don't think that a collector would put it to the test.

"Space Gun"

So what, does it remove the atmosphere in the locality?
If so for how long?
Did anyone consider the catastrophic effects of not only the out flow but the in flow of the huge amounts of air?

Geez...you damn gun crazies!

It's about how to tell is a pistol was authentically made for the SS.

Step 1 -- If is has big "SS" runes or a death's head on it ==> FAKE. :)

My rule of thumb is anything claimed as Nazi isn't.

This show acceptance by the army or other nazi organization

Note no "SS" or big ass swastika.

Design of AR-15 could derail charges tied to popular rifle

DALLAS (AP) — A subtle design feature of the AR-15 rifle has raised a technical legal question that is derailing cases against people who are charged with illegally buying and selling the gun’s parts or building the weapon.

At issue is whether a key piece of one of America’s most popular firearms meets the definition of a gun that prosecutors have long relied on.

For decades, the federal government has treated a mechanism called the lower receiver as the essential piece of the semiautomatic rifle, which has been used in some of the nation’s deadliest mass shootings. Prosecutors regularly bring charges based on that specific part.

But some defense attorneys have recently argued that the part alone does not meet the definition in the law. Federal law enforcement officials, who have long been concerned about the discrepancy, are increasingly worried that it could hinder some criminal prosecutions and undermine firearms regulations nationwide.

“Now the cat is out of the bag, so I think you’ll see more of this going on,” said Stephen Halbrook, an attorney who has written books on gun law and history. “Basically, the government has gotten away with this for a long time.”

Cases involving lower receivers represent a small fraction of the thousands of federal gun charges filed each year. But the loophole has allowed some people accused of illegally selling or possessing the parts, including convicted felons, to escape prosecution. The issue also complicates efforts to address so-called ghost guns, which are largely untraceable because they are assembled from parts.

If I posted this I apologize.

Here is a fantasy knife (ie. it isn't fake because it never existed in Nazi germany)

This isn't mine, I own one just like it. Fake fake fake. It looks like it should be real. It is pretty well made. The markings look ok. Eikhorn was a blade maker for you-know-who. It never existed though.

I found mine in a little antique store in Maine. $60. A steal (if it were real). I didn't know much about nazi crap, still don't. Except if it has a swastika be afraid. If it has SS runes be afraid. If it has both ... run.

ed might have a conniption watching this, or not. I enjoyed it. The cool part is he was not allowed to use the word 'shoot' or 'gun' because youtube would dis-revenue ... i forgot the word ... his channel. It's a restore of a repro.

I'm subscribed to this guy's channel. He used to be the curator of a farm tool/machine museum. He restores for use rather than for show; a show tool is a sad tool, a tool wants to be used. He fell out with the museum owners and moved to his own channel. I think it had to do with the youtube revenues he was getting, but he never really made it clear. Anyway, good restore.

Remington Arms prepares for bankruptcy; Navajo tribe in talks to buy - source

Remington Arms Co, America’s oldest gun maker, is preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection that could come as early as Sunday night and is in advanced talks for a sale to the Navajo Nation, according to a source familiar with the matter.

The Native American tribe is planning to vote to approve the deal as soon as Friday, the source said. The tribe previously had bid for Remington, planning to drop its most controversial semi-automatic rifles, the New York Times has reported.

U.S. retailers have placed restrictions on gun sales after school shootings, hurting manufacturers such as Remington. A Remington Bushmaster rifle was used in the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in Connecticut in 2012 that killed 20 children and six adults, making it central to debates over gun policy.

The gunmaker has filed for bankruptcy before, in March 2018 after sales faltered and the company had trouble meeting requirements of its lenders.

Remington emerged from bankruptcy the same year, owned by its former creditors, including Franklin Templeton Investments and JPMorgan Asset Management.

The sources cautioned that the timing of the bankruptcy filing could slip, and that the deal with the Navajo Nation, the largest Native American reservation in the United States, may not come to fruition.

The sale to the tribe would occur through a court-supervised process, the source said, subject to higher and better offers and approval from a judge.

No. It has to reload and fire with one trigger pull.

Hotchkiss was an interesting guy. "Merican, went to France when they expressed more interest in his cannon and machine guns than the US. Abandoned wife, took up with a French trollop. Died, left wife fortune. She established the Hotchkiss School in CT.

And for your enjoyment, a picture of my son firing my Hotchkiss Mountain Gun
