Thanks for the information. I had a nice, but modern, collection of rifles and pistols which would have included a TC Contender but I never got the chance. I liked the cut of their jib, but never had much time to do anything but ogle. Everything I knew about firearms I learned from magazines or from folks around the range which is imprecise and often wrong as I’m sure you know. I have more time now, so I do really appreciate your effort and envy your spoils.

That reminds me of a gun show I visited in New Hampshire many years ago. I was admiring a Bushmaster rifle in .223. The nice gentleman asked me where I was from. After I told him, he laughed and said “not for you”.
